Difference between cotton stick diffuser and fan type diffuser

The difference between the cotton stick type & fan type:

1) the position of the ultrosonic atomizer

Cotton stick type: above the water tank

Fan type: beneath the water tank

2) Normally, the cost of fan type is higher than cotton stick type
